ARKAD Foundation
A sculptural exchange joining Apuan marble with wood from Hong Kong and China, developed through remote collaboration, artist pairings, and exhibitions between 2021 and 2025.
Project notes
Fusion began in 2021 as a cultural exchange between Seravezza and Hong Kong, organised by Fondazione ARKAD with the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. Five artists working in Italy were paired with five artists in Hong Kong to co-create sculptures from materials rooted in each place.
For Tre Luci, the strongest editorial thread is the pairings of Flavia Robalo with Violet Shum and Jacob Cartwright with Yuen Leung Ho. Later phases brought the work to Asia Society Hong Kong, ARKAD in Seravezza, and Hong Kong Arts Centre for Fusion Final.
